A Portrait Party – What’s THAT?
Portrait Parties are a
fun way to have portraits taken of your children with NO SESSION FEE or
OBLIGATION. The event is in your home, where the portrait studio comes to
you. The host will receive a percentage from the total sales of her party.
The host’s children and each guest (either family groups or children) will
be scheduled for a 15-minute “mini-session” (one child per session, sibling
shots may be taken if time allows). All photos will be taken using the same
backdrop. Clothing changes may be allowed, depending on child’s cooperation
and age. Special theme-nights may be requested as well (Example, “A Night
In Italy” – see photos below). Parties are primarily booked on Monday,
Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Other dates by request and subject to
availability. ABSOLUTELY NO selling will occur at the party.
What do I get?
Hosts will be
presented with approximately 8-15 proofs and at least one collage. Guests
will be presented with 5-8 proofs and at least one storyboard or collage.
Guest Information….
You are encouraged to
arrive a few minutes before your scheduled session to relax and allow the
children to get comfortable. During your 15 minute mini-session, we can
shoot any combination you desire – entire family, just children, just adults
– what ever you’d like as long as it doesn’t exceed the allotted time. We
encourage you to bring your favorite props – things such as toys, hats,
mementoes, etc. The proofs will be online within 5 days of the portrait
party. I will send everyone an email letting you know when the party’s
proofs are posted. All orders must be placed within 10 days of the proofs
being made available and must be paid in full at the time of ordering. Your
host will be collecting all orders and distributing the prints to you when
they are ready, approximately 2 weeks after the total order is submitted.
What are the benefits to hosting a Portrait Party?
When you host a
portrait party and have at least 5 or more guests, you will receive portrait rewards totaling 20% of your party’s sales. You can earn
additional rewards if your guests decide to book a portrait party of their
own. WOW! What a fantastic way to earn FREE PORTRAITS!!!

You will need to
provide a space for setting up a backdrop and lights, preferably a room away
from the entertaining area so the children will not be distracted. If you
would like to book a daytime, outdoor party, that can be arranged as well.
You should provide simple refreshments for your guests. If it your
responsibility to invite guests and book the sessions in 15 minutes
sessions. Sessions must be consecutive. Within 5 days of the party,
proofs will be available online for viewing. Orders must be placed within
10 days of the proofs being made available for guests to receive special
party pricing and for the host to receive portrait rewards. (Orders will
be accepted after the 10 days, but will NOT qualify for hostess rewards or
party pricing and will be subject to a $10 late order fee.) You will
collect all orders and money and when the prints are available you will be
responsible for delivering them to your guests. Each print order will be
separated and distributed to you in a ready to deliver fashion. Best of
all, as a hostess, you may select up to 20% of your party’s total sales in
FREE PORTRAITS!
